Minimum PHP req Version

Robert Takacs's Avatar Robert Takacs
Hello. I'm working on a website for my school's Student Council - the server the school uses has a PHP 5.5 version. Minimum requirement for AA is 7.2.

Is there an older version to download that is compatible with the old PHP 5.5?

You should really not use PHP 5.5 anymore. It is outdated and unsafe. They should teach you that at school 😁
See: www.php.net/eol.php
PHP 5.0 was end of life 5 years and 4 months ago!!!

Anyway, you can find old version here:

I have no idea what version will still work on PHP 5.5. No guarantees, less functionality and I can give you absolutely no support on it. So you're on your own.

Or: simply get a decent server with PHP 7.4 or 8.1.

I know it's extremely old. There's nothing I can do about it, the student council has no money to pay a hosting service and the school uses that old server - they said they'll update it once they update their hardware, which is most likely never - thank you for the links and wish me luck with this 😜
