just a nice to have ...
do you think it would be (easily) possible to have settings for the grade of opacity and blur* (maybe colour too) for the opened modal overlay background ?
*(classic theme uses opacity only, I think)
I know that I can all change this as well by using my own custom css ...

No, I won't put any styling options like that in the Modals settings.
You can do this via CSS.
