403 error when try to use DB Replacer

Daniel Greenspan's Avatar Daniel Greenspan
Hi, I've been using DB Replacer for years on another site without issue, but I just installed it on a new site (same Joomla version), and every attempt to replace something leads to the error page "403 Forbidden - You don't have permission to access this resource." The site is www.psychologybachelors.org/ . Any idea what's causing this or how I can troubleshoot? Thanks!

Probably some firewall extension getting in the way like AdminTools or RS Firewall.

Hi Peter, I don't have any such extension I'm aware of. This site is on the same host with a similar extension profile to the site I've been using DB Replacer on for years. I was going to list the extensions here but the list is massive. Can I provide you access to take a look for the offending extension? Thanks, Daniel

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?

I do not get the error.
I just replaced 'ab' with 'ab' in your articles... and:
2 Row(s) successfully updated

Maybe you have a browser ad blocker or something that is blocking things...

This is most probably down to a security module on your server preventing 'https://' to be in post data.
Ask your host about this. It is not a DB Replacer issue.
