Exclude with regular expression

Marco Meschieri's Avatar Marco Meschieri
I need to exclude a path from CDN
In particular in my website I noted that CDN fro Joomla correctly exludes the tag twitter:image, but id doesn't handle correctly the tag og:image

Since Facebook and Twitter now (2019) relay on the value of content og:image
the result is that when someone try to post on Facebook and Twitter the image is not correctly shown

Take for example this webpage:

The code after CDN fro Joomla is:
<meta property="og:locale" content="en_GB"/>
	<meta property="og:type" content="article"/>
	<meta property="og:title" content="Hybrid Cloud"/>
	<meta property="og:description" content="Hybrid Cloud Based Document Management with LogicalDOC Cloud on demand service. Store, organize, view, and share documents with just an Internet connection."/>
	<meta property="og:url" content=""/>
	<meta property="og:site_name" content="LogicalDOC"/>
	<meta property="og:image" content="//"/>
	<meta property="article:published_time" content="2012-08-07T13:11:54+00:00"/>
	<meta property="article:modified_time" content="2019-03-13T15:18:23+00:00"/>
	<meta property="og:updated_time" content="2019-03-13T15:18:23+00:00"/>
	<meta property="twitter:card" content="summary"/>
	<meta property="twitter:site" content="@logicaldoc"/>
	<meta property="twitter:creator" content="@logicaldoc"/>
	<meta property="twitter:image" content=""/>

We need to exclude from the CND process the line of og:image
<meta property="og:image" content="//"/>
So I think that now we will made our custom plugin to fix this issue, but it would be nice if in future release CND for Joomla treat this field like twitter:image
or having a set of regular expression to exclude something from processing

Why would you want to exclude the image meta tags.
Or better question: why are those meta tags not working correctly when it contains your CDN image url?
