Sourcerer not working

Auke van Nimwegen's Avatar Auke van Nimwegen
Hi,

I upgraded to 9.8.0 on Joomla 3. On my test site Sourcerer Pro worked, but on my live site now the PHP scripts don't run. I am using PHP 7.4.33, can that be the problem? Both sites run this version of PHP, so I did not think it was an issue.

Or can there be an issue with the license key? I can see the option to create a license key but no option to install it.

Kind regards,
Auke

What do you mean with 'don't run'?

Try enabling debug mode and set PHP error reporting to Development, to see if you get any php errors.

Please keep the forum in English.

Sorry, but it is beyond my support to bugfix your custom php code.

Please try to first figure out if the issue is with Sourcerer or with your code.

Does this work?
{source}<?php echo 'TEST'; ?>{/source}

It is definitely sourcerer that is not working, as none of the PHP scripts work and also not the echo command.
I downgraded to version 9.7.0 to make sure it works with PHP 7.4.33, but it still does not work.

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?
And tell me on what url I can see/reproduce the issue.

The issue was with an incorrectly set 'Path to Temp Folder' in your global configuration. It was set to '/tmp' instead of the full absolute path.

Thanks a million for fixing this and your quick responses.
The strange thing is that this always worked, also in our test environment it is set to '/tmp' and it works well.
Anyway, very grateful as we can service our customers again.

Kind regards,
Auke
