Hi, I know Sourcerer is typically used to insert code for the front-end, but I have some use cases where I need to insert code for the backend, e.g. to override content from components.
There seems not to be an option to enable Sourcerer in the backend, neither in the Pro version or am I wrong?

Correct. Sourcerer can and will only work in the frontend.
To override component outputs, use template overrides.
Or you could optionally use ReReplacer to replace content with other content (or PHP code).
