Is it possible to have modals only show the modal the first time a user goes to a specific page?

Thank you, I looked in the documentation, but missed it.

Since this is kept track up via cookies, can it distinguish users? That is if I set it open="once"} and show the modal, then log out and log back in again using a different user name, will the modal show or not?
