Unfortunately, I can't say anything about it - I haven't adjusted anything.
Until last week, everything ran smoothly (on the other 10 domains).
And: why could you update via the extension-manager and not me?
Do you think the problem will still be solved or should I install the extensions manually via the Joomla updater? That seems to work.
I could update them on the first domain. But not on that last one.
When opening the Extension Manager, it also doesn't immediately show the updates for me. It shows 'old' (?) data from memory/cache. And I have to click the 'Refresh' button for it to see the updates.
I didn't change anything in the RL Extension Manager or my server that would cause that.
So not sure what is causing this behaviour.
Also when I change something in a javascript file, I have to hard-refresh the page before it sees the changes.
And then it seems to fall back on the old javascript file (from memory/cache) on the new page loaded via ajax.
So weird things...
Hello Peter,
indeed. Maybe even a trace for you.
Today I have migrated 4 websites to Joomla 4 or am still in the process of doing so. The same problem occurred with three of them: The extension manager only installed the free versions.
On one site (
www.katzen-welten.de/
) everything went through smoothly - as it should.
I did notice one difference: I had to re-enter the download key for the three faulty websites. That could be a clue.
On the page where everything went through, the download key had somehow been taken over from Joomla 3.
I truly have no idea what is causing it.
Let me know if you have the issue again and if you find out what underlying difference there is between these websites. Maybe some difference in (server)caching settings or some other 3rd party extension...
