Download Key not accepted

i bought the bundle version…but there is a problem with the download key. i copy and paste it but on reload the popup will display "you have not entered your Download Key"
in the configuration of "Extension Mangaer" in Backend i cannot insert the code because of this message "There was an issue trying to find a Download Key on your setup.Try reinstalling the extension. "

the site is htaccess password protected…is that the problem?
