[Modals] Orientation wrong when creating thumbnails

Daniel Gimmer's Avatar Daniel Gimmer
Dear developer,

I noticed an issue with modal galleries when it comes to the orientation of thumbnails.

Link: www.gs-lauterstein.de/index.php/startsei...r-ein-piratenmusical

If you take a look at this gallery, you will see that most of the thumbnails are rotatet 90 or 180 degrees and are upsode down. If you click on the thumbnail though, the image is shown correctly.

I guess something is going on with the EXIF data when the thumbnails are being converted. Can this be easily fixed somehow? The problem is that I get images from my customer each week from different sources, so I really can't do anything about the data that I get. It would be cool if the system can do everything for me.

Best regards,
Dan

Try deleting the 'resized' folder and see if the new thumbnails generate ok.

Just did it, no improvement. The newly generated thumbnails are still wrongly orientated.

Please try the latest development version from:
regularlabs.com/development-releases

(and delete that resized folder again after update)

Tried it with Modals 12.0.0-dev2533803, deleted the thumbnails folder, let the plugin create new thumbnails, same issue unfortunately 🙁

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?

It is fixed on your setup and in the latest development release on:
regularlabs.com/development-releases

So to correct any thumbnails, just delete the resized folders.
