Hi Peter,
Thanks for the quick response. We have not changed the template on these sites. From a brief check, it appears the commonality here though is the sites use YOOtheme Pro. Note that the issue is present on both YOOtheme pro 2.7.26 (latest in the 2x series) and the newly released 3.0.x. I'm assuming you want your extensions to remain compatible with YOOtheme Pro websites, correct? If so, can you please check into the conflict and release a patch?
Tabs uses and relies on the Bootstrap styles and scripts and the jQuery scripts that come with Joomla core. The YTP templates include styles and scripts that deal with tab elements in their own way that cause conflicts with Tabs. And this constantly seems to change with every release of YTP.
In other words, you won't do able to use Regular Labs Tabs on your YTP template.
The "Tabs & Accordions” extension for Joomla 4 (which is a replacement of the Tabs and Slider extensions) will not rely on the Joomla core Bootstrap css an jQuery script. And will therefore be more independent and not run into these type it conflicts of certain templates.
So, if I'm understanding this correctly, your new Tabs & Accordions extension will not conflict with YOOtheme Pro, correct?
If so, two follow up questions:
1) With Tabs & Accordions also be able to run on Joomla 3? We have sites on JOomla 3 that are not yet ready for upgrade, but tabs/sliders stopped working recently.
2) What will the migration process look like from tabs/sliders to the new Tabs & Accordions component?
1) Thanks for confirming. We have a solution for this now on our end.
2) From looking at the upgrade, it look straightforward. If I'm reading it correct, it looks like the tabs and sliders syntax is similar enough to where we wont' have to manually change the syntax for each page using sliders/tabs as we only use the tab color, justify alignment, and the title items within the syntax. Does this sound correct?
