I did with an over the top install. I will try a uninstall/reinstall

Installing over the top via web-install works OK.

Dont think it was timeout as it seemed instant

I'm having the same error on multiple installations, too. Seems not a timeout related thing to me. I'm getting the error even updating manually from the zip and from the web tab. For me even uninstalling and installing isn't working, always getting that error. 12.1.0 is last working version for me.
