Peter,
when I try to uninstall the button component of Articles-Everywhere the main component is removed, too. (I've tried that with versions 6.1.1, 7.0.0 and even v7.0.1-rev865588)
Please note:
The disabled system button has a completely different functionality.
It creates internal cross-links and does not include an article. I NEED these cross-links!
(I put down the articleverywhere-syntax on a peace of paper, but I don't see how to get the relevant address of an article without much hustle)
So the best way would be: give the user a choice whether he wants to have both buttons.
(Merely disabling the button does not restore the system button, either)
Notwithstanding that: if I uninstall the button-component the system-component should stay put.
Chris
You can disable the Articles Anywhere editor button and enable the Joomla core articles editor button.

No, it shouldn't.
If you want to create links, use the [link]...[/link] data tags.
Please read the documentation on how Articles Anywhere works.

Well, I see now that it can be done with the Articles-Anywhere component, but the button does not show that functionality.
This means that you first have to use a "wrong" option (there is no obvious choice) and then correct that manually. I consider that a bug.
Concerning the tutorial:
1. I'd think an example where an arbitrary text is used as a link would be helpful, like
{articles some article} [link]this is just plain text[/link]{/articles}
2. A hint, that the article-name which you use cannot contain a comma even for the free version would be useful.
When I had adapted the aliases and used them instead everything worked fine.
Chris
The editor button, like explained in the documentation, is just a little help to insert the basic data tags.
It does not cover ALL possibilities, as that would create a monster of a page with too many options.
The thing you want to use happens not to be there as a standard option. You can consider that a bug. But it's not.
The titles can contain a comma, you just need to escape them in the selection:
{articles American\, British and Exotic Shorthair,Munchkin}...{/articles}
Also I added an example of a custom link:
'Example: linked title, first 100 characters of intro and a simple link to the article'
docs3.regularlabs.com/articlesanywhere
I've Joomla!-Version 3.10.1 and have updated articles anywhere to version 10.7.2.
Now the readme text parameter works not as expected.
If I enter [readmore text="Mein Text"], the text shown in the label is just "WEITERLESEN ..."
(I.e. the article-title is replaced by an ellipsis).
I'd like to have the "Weiterlesen" removed and my text to be used - as in former versions.
With regard to the readmore text everything works now again as expected.
I have not thoroughly tested other features.
(You might add a hint how to use that feature at a more prominent place in the documentation)
Thanks
Chris
