No condition set has been selected yet...

Didier's Avatar Didier
When activating AMM, several modules appear to have no conditions (No condition set has been selected yet...) and the modules are therefore displayed on all pages.
When switching back to Joomla module manager, the “Menu Assignments” are correct again.
I can probably set new conditions for all those modules in AMM, but that is not the intention of course.
Website uses Joomla Cassiopeia (child) templates, PHP 8.2.27, Joomla 5.2.5, AMM 10.2.3 Pro
Any idea what went wrong?
Didier.

You might have had Advanced Module Manager installed before, making the installer think it doesn't need to covert assignments again.

Try uninstalling Advanced Module Manager and deleting the _advancedmodules, _conditions and _conditions_... tables from the database (if you are not using the conditions for anything else).
Then reinstall Advanced Module Manager.

That seems to have solved the problem Peter, thanks.
Only the modules with module assignment => on all pages now have no conditions, which seems correct to me.
I have always found it strange that when uninstalling an extension the database tables are retained. This is not the first time that this has caused me confusion and problems.
Anyway, I can now elaborate further, fortunately on a copy of the production site.
Didier.

"I have always found it strange that when uninstalling an extension the database tables are retained."
This is because some users uninstall extensions before updating or upgrading them. Or uninstall something by mistake.
This would cause you to lose all data of the extension. So many extension developers choose to not remove those tables from the database on uninstallation.

Yes, I understand this.
Perhaps offering the choice at uninstall is a possibility or even better, when installing an extension, if it turns out that the tables already exist, offer to keep them or remove them and replace them with new ones?
Thanks again for the always quick top support.
