"Also on child items" options

INFINI Marketing's Avatar INFINI Marketing
wondering how this option works? it feels like it doesn't work as we "expect" it to be working?
this is how we set it up.
- we made a new module (to show in the as the header for the blog page), and setup a "condition set" to include to be shown in "menu items" which is of menu item type "category blog" and we chose the category we titled "blog".

what we expect: we want the title to show on the the main blog page, but do not want to show the title on the child pages.

example main blog page: ramy.infinidev.co/index.php/blogs
example blog item page: ramy.infinidev.co/index.php/blogs/another-article

do you understand what we are asking for? do you know how we can achieve this?

we do see when we create an actual "submenu" item, it appears that the condition set works.

however, how can set it up so that the blogs that show up under the "blog" to not show the module? is this possible?

The "Also on Child Items":
This option allows you to make the rule pass on menu items that are children of one of the selected menu items.

You probably want to use the Condition Rules under Joomla Content.
