There appears to be a word/character count limit with Quick Index. I have an article that is 26,000 characters long, with approximately 25 heading tags. It does not work unless I cut the character count. Is there a character limit with this plugin? When I'm over the amount allowed, it simply shows {index} without initializing the plugin. If I cut the count to 10,000 characters, it works. Is there any way to increase this limit?
This is not a limit in Quick Index itself.
It is probably that the PHP code is running into memory or buffer limits (probably concerning Regular Expressions).
See if you can increase PHP limits on the server.
Not as an excuse, but:
Having pages on the web with so much content is probably not the best idea.
You should probably consider splitting the page up into multiple subpages.
Thank you, that makes sense. I'll play with the settings. I'm experimenting with collections of documents and trying to ease the process of adding to the site (i.e., not needing to create/manage multiple menus, etc, for one document. Probably best to split them up if we stay with Joomla. Thank for your help.
