I today using a 3rd party component called List Manager. This allows me to create lists
using text fields, date, queries, and HTML editor. The latter is of use to be for creating
URLs etc. When I try to place the Tooltip syntax in a HTML editor-field, it doesn't work.
Maybe it's not parsed or something, but I'm wondering if you have any ideas to what I can do
for making Tooltip work here.

It is probably due to the system plugin ordering. Try changing the ordering of the plugins in question.

Then I guess you will have to ask the List Manager support on how you can use (system) plugin tags in their content.
