Display of Joomla Contacts in multiple categories

SOHO Prospecting's Avatar SOHO Prospecting
We have a requirement for a website update that is not native to Joomla and a user in the joomla.org community indicated that it was previously possible with Components Anywhere, which was deprecated with Joomla 4, but might be possible using Sourcerer. We are looking for confirmation, and, if so, a referral to a developer that can implement it if coding is required since we are not programmers.

The requirement is to display contacts from multiple categories on a single page, for example in an article. Native Joomla allows you to list the categories on a single page, but not display the Contacts with them on a single page (those are listed as individual URLs).

We explored using "Featured" contacts display, but that approach is not category-specific. We want one page to display the contacts within one set of categories and another page to display the contacts within another set of categories.

We also explored using Tags, which would allow us to display the contacts within one set of categories on one page and to display the contacts within another set of categories on a different page. However, it does not separate the Contacts by category on the page, it just lists the all the Contacts with matching tags with no indication or ordering / separation by category.

A mock-up of our requirement is included in the link below (wherein Sales and Staff are two separate Contact Categories) and we would appreciate any advice you may have.

Understood, but our main question is whether or not Sourcerer can be used to meet this requirement before we buy it. Can you advise on that question?

Sourcerer is just a way to place PHP code. So that can pretty much support any PHP code you throw at it.
That custom PHP code is up to and down to you.

Depending on the complexity of what it is you actually want to build, it might be better to create a dedicated plugin or component to do the job.
