DB Replacer to find

Bevan Von Weichardt's Avatar Bevan Von Weichardt
I hope I have contacted you on the right forum.

I have a site that a client has populated using the good old ‘Cut and Paste’ from word…

As you can imagine there are horrible bits of code and CSS hanging around that I would like to delete without have to go through the 3000 articles one by one.

In particular I want to delete these empty <p> tags

<p>&nbsp;</p>

Is this something DB replacer could do?

Please advise.

Regards
Bevan

PS: You can do that with the Free version of DB Replacer...

Oh awesome, I tried it but it says it can't find that in the search.

Make sure your syntax matches what is in the database exactly.

If you need more support on how to use it, please consider buying a subscription.

Thanks. Will try again. Will probably buy a sub anyway... seems super useful.

Hi, The search finds the required data and seems to replace it (50 Row(s) successfully updated) but when I look in the DB it's still the same? Is this because it's the free version?

Thanks

No, it should do the (50) replacements it says it has done.

OK, thanks. When I search again for the same thing it says it can't be found, so it certainly thinks it's made the change. I must be doing something wrong...
