We would like to use the free version of Modals at the moment, but it requires us to uninstall the PRO version from the Extension Manager, and we’re not allowed to! How can that be? Is it possible to remove it manually, or do you have another solution? We’re a bit stuck.
Joomla version 4.4.8.
Latest Extension Manager
Modals 14.03 PRO
"When I click the uninstall trash icon, I'm asked if I'm sure. Then the process bar runs to about 20%, after which I get a blank 'Overview' window—the process doesn't complete with 'Overview, Uninstalling the package was successful.'
When I go back, Modals PRO is still listed in the overview."
"Yes, it's through Extension Manager—it doesn't work, and through Core Manager I also get an error. It gave an error related to plugins/editors-xtd/modals/helper...something. I replaced this modals folder with one from a similar Joomla installation, and then the uninstallation worked through Extension Manager."
... continuation of issues with the free version of Regular Labs Modals.
Hi Regular Labs / Peter,
I managed to uninstall the pro version, but now I’m getting these errors when installing the free version of Modals over the pro version:
```
Warning: Undefined property: stdClass::$mediafiles in /site4/plugins/system/modals/src/Params.php on line 89
Deprecated: strtolower(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /site4/plugins/system/modals/src/Params.php on line 89
