I attached 2 screenshots.
The first is before I started to trigger the responsiveness and the other is after I started to shrink my window to check responsiveness.
As you can see the modal covers the text. I did not change anything and this started happening.

That has nothing to do with Modals. It is down to CSS and you having a style="position:absolute" on the link tag.
Also, you have issues in the syntax of the {modal} tag.
Use the attribute="..." style for stuff inside the tag.
