Not working for me too for the last 30 minutes. I will wait 24 hrs and try again and report back. Spoke too soon - working now !

You also get errors in the Joomla updater:

As you can see there, also 2 other xml update files are failing, even if they are loading fine when accessed directly via the browser.

So looks very much like an issue at the side of your host.

I had them on the phone
So : I went into regular labs exetension manager and have the error "could not retrieve..."
And in the log of outgoing request there is at this time :

Not really, that just states the IP address of my server it is trying to connect to.

And they said that the request has been snd if it is in the log ...
If it does not join the xml the problem is on your server or "between"

I guess in between then.
As you can see, those urls to the xml files are working just fine when you open them directly.

Ok, looks like this WAS an issue on my side. So on the SiteGround server my website is on.
It was due to an anti-bot captcha system. This is now switched of for that domain.
