Dummy Content

SSL Warning when using DummyPictures

Hi,
I am using Dummingcontent in development. So I use some pictures, too. The Picutres are grabbed from

http://picsum.photos/500/200?random
. So I got an SSL-Warning. Ok, you can see it as a feature, too. If you got a warning, there is still some Dummy-Content. 😁
But if you put the given url into your Browser, it will move you straight to the
https://picsum.photos/500/200?random
So maybe you can have a look at this? 🙂
Thank you very much.
Best regards
Niko

Hi Peter,
thanks for your fast reply and sorry for my delay.
What I did:
a) Installed the dev-release.
b) checked after cleaning caches but nothing changed.

so I removed the Plugin completely. Then reloaded and of course the strings where shown.
Then installed the dev-release again and got this error-message in the frontend:

0
Class 'RegularLabs\Plugin\System\DummyContent\Image' not found

The page you are looking for was moved, removed, renamed or might never existed.

Then I downgraded to latest stable release with your excellent manager. And now it's back like before. If I use picsum. I got an SSl-Warning.
kind regards.

Looks like something wrong in the dev release package.
I repackaged and rereleased a new dev version.
See if that does work as expected...

Hmm, I have no issues!

I guess you have some folder/file writing permission issues.

Can you uninstall Dummy Content, then delete these folders:

/media/dummycontent
/plugins/editors-xtd/dummycontent
/plugins/system/dummycontent
The install that dev version

Hi Peter,
1) I uninstalled the Plugin from your Manager.
2) I looked for the mentioned folders, but couldn't find them.
3) Now I installed the DEV-Pro-Version. This Version works!

But I also tried with the free version, but here I got the already mentioned error. So Dev-Pro version works!
Thanks for even supporting on a Weekend! You Rock! 👍 👍 👍

Best regards
Niko
PS: I will now go back to stable Pro Release and wait for your official release. This is a more cosmetic issue. So really thanks for your quick help.
Case closed as far as I can see. 🙂

PPS: I played around with the Picture-Services:
Fakeimg.pl
PlaceBeard.it
Picsum.Photos
are affected by this.

PlaceImg.com works fine!
Sorry for the late info.

The affected services should work fine in the dev version.

What error are you getting with the free version?
There is no image support at all in the free version.

Hi Peter,
if I install the free version I get the error mentioned in post www.regularlabs.com/forum/dummycontent/4...-dummypictures#92299

0
Class 'RegularLabs\Plugin\System\DummyContent\Image' not found

The page you are looking for was moved, removed, renamed or might never existed.
And it sounds somehow plausible to me, that this error shows up. If in the free version no pics are supported. But you are the expert.
Best regards

Ok, see what you mean with the error in the free version.

Current changelog in dev version:

+ Adds extra css class to editor buttons which can be used for custom styling
^ Makes Picsum.Photos images use https protocol instead of http
^ Makes PlaceBeard.it images use https protocol instead of http
 # [FREE] Fixes issue with php errors when trying to use image tags (which are only supported in the Pro version)
