No editor button when creating articles

Arno Hoitink's Avatar Arno Hoitink
I have several user authorizations, one of them is that a specific user only can create articles in a predefined category (with shack article manager) in the frontend.
I am using a template but it does not show the editor button in JCE editor. In joomla 3 it did work, but after upgrading to Joomla4 no more editor button!
Although it is not ideal, I can now make it work with Autoload, but I want the user to be able to choose if he wants to use the template or not.

Any suggestions?

Are any of the other editor buttons showing?

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?
And tell me on what url I can see/reproduce the issue.

The Content Templater button will only show for users that have 'create' or 'edit' or 'edit own' permissions.
Seeing the user in that usergroup does not have that, it is not shown.

I am aware of that, but since I want a user to have only 'create' or 'edit' or 'edit own' for a specific category I set these permissions on allowed only for that specific category. That should work like it did in Joomla 3.

Then that seems to be down to how that shack article manager works.

It might be due to the system plugin ordering. Try changing the ordering of the plugins in question.

So that.

Content Templater is doing the same checks as it did in Joomla 3.
So this is probably down to a change in that extension you are using.
In other words... ask them.
