Content Templater 10.1.0 places items out of order in template button popups

Collin Lafrance's Avatar Collin Lafrance
Hello,

I am upgrading from Content Templater 10.0.8 to 10.1.0 and when I click the template buttons below my editor, the popup of the choices are now out of order from what I have set. I have confirmed the order in the component and they are all placed alphabetically but it seems to show the second half of the list first, then the first half second. Some others seems a bit at random or harder to see what is going on.

I'm looking at the changelog and the item
-Fixes issue with items not being grouped by category in the editor button list

Perhaps this bug is related to the above point as it is not showing all of them in the proper order when you click the button and they popup.

Just installed the DEV version, no change. Still displaying the list out of order compared to 10.0.8 and earlier.

What is the grouping set to in the Content Templater configuration settings?

I have in the options of Content Templater.

Order List by "ORDERING"
Display Categories "As separate Editor Buttons"

So with "ORDERING", it will not show them alphabetically by name, but take the ordering you have given them in the list.
That should now also work ok in the new dev version (just updated).

Hi Peter, yes I have it set to Ordering, however we have two lists manually ordered alphabetically and some others ordered in another way.

I tried the newest dev version, it had some effect but still not displaying all in order.

For example, in 10,0,8, one of our lists is sorted manually in order (alphabetically). The items go from A-Z.
With 10.1.0, it was starting at L-Z then jumping back to A-K.

With the second dev version, how it starts at F-Z, then jumps to A-E.
Hope this makes sense.

And what if you set the ordering to Title?

If I set ordering to Title they display alphabetically.

But if I set ordering to Ordering, it isn't respecting the order manually set in the component.

Can you double-check if you have the very last dev version installed?

Thank you Peter.

If you go into Article Manager and open a new Article screen, then try the Sources button below the editor (as it is manually sorted into alphabetical order so it is easiest to see what is happening, compared to the other ones that aren't as clear).
