Hide tags in front-end search

Peter Tindle's Avatar Peter Tindle
I am trying to make it so part of the content on a page is only visible if the page is entered with a URL I have given someon. For instance, if the URL has 0192323452 in it then they can view the specified content. This works great, except for the fact that if I search for any words in the hidden content section, the tag with the URL code is clearly visible to the person who searched. Is there a way to make these tags invisible to searches?

Don't use the Joomla core search, as it sucks. It searches directly on the content in your database. So not in the final content as visible on the frontend (which is affected by plugins).

The Smart Search is better, as it indexes your website as it loads on the frontend for visitors.
There are also some 3rd party search components out there that might do a better job.

Or use Google Search for your website.
