Dynamic domain for cdn host

Thomas Venugopal's Avatar Thomas Venugopal
Hello, we have a pretty big Joomla site where different parts are being displayed on different domains. It would make the extension even more flexible if the input field for „CDN Domain“ would let us write something like:

{firstdomain.com: d30qc2fl13p8n6.cloudfront.net}, {seconddomain.com: kenevj7363krje7.cloudfront.net}

If the domainname matches the host it uses the specific cdn host. That way it would be possible to manage many websites under one hood with different domains and in this case with different cdns.

Long story short: Could you please make the plugin a little bit more flexible so that it’s possible to use different cdn domains for different domains please?

Please try the latest development version from:
regularlabs.com/development-releases

I have completely changed the way sets are made in the CDN for Joomla plugin settings for Joomla 4.
You can now create as many sets as you want and select the (sub)domain per set. So you can make a set per site domain.

Hi, does not seem to work:

As you can see, the media URLs are not updated. I used the latest dev version on latest j4.

You are limiting it to the main domain. Your current subdomain is 'staging'.

I thought that it just have to match the pattern, but good, it works! Thank you! I have to wait until next week to find out if the other domain works too.

I know its a development version so I report it just here:

- Resized images from articles anywhere don't work. It seems that it looks for the wrong resized image size. 1 Image from Article Anywhere works because there's no sourceset only one image. All other images reference to a wrong path. For example:

- We use a custom SVG icon sprite. The icons are not shown when the CDN is enabled. You can see the SVG-Icons here:

The single icons in this sprite are referenced like this:
<svg class="lp-icons lp-icons-daily"><use xlink:href="images/icon-sprite.svg#daily" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"></use></svg>

Is the first issue only when you use CDN for Joomla! or is it an Articles Anywhere issue?

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?

1. This problem only occurs when CDN is enabled.

2. Yes:

No, it doesn't and has nothing to do with CDN for Joomla!
When I disable the plugin, the HTML output is:
<img src="/landing_j4/images/.../50000/resized/..._300x300.jpg" title="..." width="300" height="300" class="uk-transition-scale-up uk-transition-opaque">

Regarding the sprite... that is something you need to ask your CDN provider about.
Open the URL of the sprite on the CDN server in your prowser, and you'll see what the issue is.
Also nothing to do with CDN for Joomla! itself.
