I can't get it to work

Jens's Avatar Jens
Hi!

I just purchased and installed CDN for Joomla! and I'm trying to get it to work with Cloudfront. Unfortunately I'm having no luck.

I followed the guide for AWS and it seems setup nicely, as fa as I can evaluate. My image URLs look like this: d3mitf78rlf49d.cloudfront.net/images/headers/blue-flower.jpg
As soon as I turn off the plugin it works.
AWS shows hits in the stats.
One thing is a bit weired: GTMetrix says 'Avoid chaining critical requests' and I don't really know what that means.

Any ideas?

Well, as you can see, the url to that image does not work.
So something not right with your CDN setup at Cloudfront.
You will have to ask them for support on how to set things up there.

Not really helpful, sorry.

I followed this guide here regularlabs.com/blog/1240-how-to-use-ama...cloudfront-in-joomla , which obviously has errors. Step 3 index.php as a Default Root Object causes that the image URLs look like this: d3mitf78rlf49d.cloudfront.net/index.php/images/headers/blue-flower.jpg

Anyway, I can't get it to work.

PS: That tutorial is just information from Amazon Cloudfront.
CDN for Joomla! is not responsible for how Amazon Cloudfront works and how you need to set it up.
