using secret url with script

Laurent Lacoste's Avatar Laurent Lacoste
Hi,

When I use the secret URL to clean cache from my web browser works fine.
Is it possible to do the same using shell script for instance?

Thanks
L.

So either use curl or wget. Google is your friend.

Yes I know 😉
But I just want to know if I use curl to call the secret URL or If I type the secret URL manually from my web browser, resutl will be the same?

Yes and I do not understand something.

From joomla's backend, when I click the icon to clear cache here www.screenpresso.com/fr/cloud/ZI4jg/ then the folder /www/cache/ is totally cleaned.

From my web browser, when I launch the secret URL with my password, then the folder /www/cache/ is cleaned partially.
I have created manually some files and folders => they are correctly deleted
But these folder are not removed : www.screenpresso.com/=PC6wg

From curl command, when I do curl https://www.my_website.com/index.php?cleancache=my_password , the same as above, all files and folders are removed except these : www.screenpresso.com/=PC6wg

That is because the frontend page creates new cache during the generation of it.
Cache Cleaner will clean the cache during the page rendering process, and later during the process new cache is created.
