Hi we would like to know what the Query URL purpose is for?

We would like to know if we set our homepage to be queried after cache cleaning, will this option trigger the homepage to be re-cached?

Yes, you can use it for that. Or for querying a URL that purchase some third party cache. Or to trigger some custom script that does other things.
