I have the same exact issue. NOT WORKING.
Peter van Westen's Avatar Peter van Westen ADMIN
Working fine for me...

Do you get an error? What happens when you click on the button?
Try going to the ulr:
/administrator/index.php?cleancache=1
Do you see any errors then?

PS: try that with Error Reporting set to Development in the Global Configuration.

There is no error. When the cache button is hit, it reports that the cache "Was" cleaned. Yet, changes to the site are not made.

I have to manually go into the host cpanel and empty the cache from there for changes to take effect.

What kind of cache are you talking about here? Joomla Cache? Server Cache? Litespeed Cache?

Honestly, I don't know which form of cache Godaddy is using. I will attempt to find out if it really matters.

I did notice that when logging into my joomla site, Extensions: Manage: and search "Cache", I get this;

Cache
Administrator Component LOCKED

Regular Labs - Cache Cleaner ENABLED
Administrator Module 7.5.1PRO August 2021 Regular Labs (Peter van Westen) N/A 10310

System - Page Cache LOCKED
Site Plugin system 424

System - Regular Labs - Cache Cleaner ENABLED
Site Plugin 7.5.1PRO August 2021 Regular Labs (Peter van Westen) system 10311

In short, 2 of the 4 cache cleaners are locked and I am cannot ENABLE them. Is this the way it should be?
Peter van Westen's Avatar Peter van Westen ADMIN
Well, the 2 extensions that are locked are Joomla core extensions. That has nothing to do with Cache Cleaner.

Cache Cleaner cleans the Joomla core cache and a collection of 3rd party and CDN cache types.
Whatever server cache Godaddy is using, Cache Cleaner is not designed to clear that.

If you need a refund, let me know.

I do have a firewall with Godaddy, that includes a CDN.
Do you think that would stop the cache cleaner from working?
Peter van Westen's Avatar Peter van Westen ADMIN
Well, first you need to figure out what kind of caching your server is using. Ask Godaddy.

Anthony, dont forget settings also on Tab in Cache Cleaner backend settings "What to clean" Joomla cache :

Minimum Age (in minutes) = 0

then you will see the results immediately...

Ssnobben ssnobben,
Thanks so much.
My settings were in fact at 0 minutes, but the "Temp folder" I moved to option from via button to "Yes" and it works! Yes!
