Problem with other plugin because of save trigger - Support Forum

Hi,
I am using quickindex, articles fields and some other of your plugins/components on one website.
For about 4 weeks, the 3rd-party image gallery "Firecoders" image gallery does not work anymore, when we upload images to a custom field which is an image gallery. When we save, the image src is lost.

I contacted their support and they checked the problem. And the pointed to your system plugin:

"A third-party plugin is triggering the save event again. That's why you get duplicate galleries and the images association is lost.
This behaviour can also make your site slower since many queries are run twice. The file that is causing this is:

plugins/system/regularlabs/regularlabs.php in line 170

Please notify the developers of this extension about this issue."

For testing:
Go to an article, change the article category to "Aktuelles" (if it is not already).
Then on the tab "Aktuelles" go to the field "Fotogalerie" add at least one image.
Then save the article.
The image data is saved, but the image is not linked.

I have a dev environment where you can test this.

Try commenting out the whole onContentAfterSave method in that file.
I'll see here if that would cause any issues with other things (like Articles Field), and if so, fix it in a different way.
