Error 502

Giorgio Sommaruga's Avatar Giorgio Sommaruga
I was working with Content Templater and saved a change when the 502 error popped up.
Now this extension is no longer able to load.
I don't see any other problems with other extensions.

All updated to latest versions.

The Website is:

Enable error reporting and debug mode to see what error you get...

I enabled:
- System / Debug System = Yes
- Server / Error Reporting = Maximum
- Loggin / Log Almost Everything = Yes

I then called Content Templater again to throw the error again, but in /administrator/logs I don't see anything related to this problem.

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?
You can use the 'Confidential information' button in the forum editor to hide sensitive information.

Here the data.

I can't/won't use a Joomla file browser to change files. If I change something that breaks the admin, I have no way to fix it.
So if you can provide direct (s)ftp access, I am happy to look into this further.

I don't use FTP, but SSH. I have to create the user.
But can you see what's the matter in the meantime?
Peter van Westen's Avatar Peter van Westen ADMIN
I can't open your administrator.
It just shows a white screen and keeps loading till it times out.

Both the administrator and the frontend are not loading. Maybe you have some general IP block going on?
And it is not just me:

Let me know when you fixed things on your end.

There shouldn't be IP blocking; there is not even a Geo block or even an access limitation.
I'll check better, meanwhile give me your IP.

Like the previous image shows, it isn't just my IP/location.

I don't know what to say.
Now I'm asking others to do some tests, but the site is active because we connect from PCs and smartphones.
Peter van Westen's Avatar Peter van Westen ADMIN
I was able to access your site using a VPN.
I installed the latest dev version, and that fixed the issue.
Weird that the error logs didn't reveal anything, as it was down to a pretty simple PHP error in my code.

So it is fixed on your setup and in the latest development release on:

Meanwhile the technician who checked found nothing wrong.
Perhaps there is a problem for those residing outside the EU because they do not see the GDPR request for cookie approval and cannot connect without it. That's something I need to check.
If you give me your IP and your Country, I will try to do some further verification.

I saw that now everything is working extension.
So I should get a future update, right?

May I know what was the problem?

Thank you very much for your help and your patience.

I am in the EU. My current IP: 85.147.255.149

As said, there was a PHP error in my code.
Referencing an object property that didn't exist.

If you're in the EU, it's strange that it's the GDPR. I will investigate.
Thanks again.
