Can't connect to regular labs servers for update.

Hi, it has been a while now - more than 2 months most likely - that from all our websites located in multiple servers we get no or very slow connection to regular labs in order to get updates. This affects both the joomla "find updates" which have become extremely slow and the regular labs extension manager which mostly reports "Could not retrieve data from the Regular Labs website. Please try again later."
Can we troubleshoot this?

at the same time a website on the same server timedout while trying to update a regularlabs module
When i go back to joomla extension updates the module is updated.
Continueing to regularlabs extension manager ...waiting for many seconds and then pop up: "Could not retrieve data from the Regular Labs website. Please try again later."

and this is the situation for all websites from all servers
