Problem of key validity when accessing the Extension manager in J4

yves boisselier's Avatar yves boisselier
Hello,
I cannot access the update of any Regularlabs extension and also not of the Extension Manager.
I updated manually to the latest version of the extension manager 8.2.5. (the latest automated update reached version 8.2.3). But the problem remains the same.
I use J4.3.0 and php 8.1.16
I get the error message "Erreur de connexion au serveur download.regularlabs.com"

If I open the parameters, the key is correctly entered (I entered it as it was generated previously) and I get the message:
"Il y a eu un problème lors de la validité de votre clé de téléchargement.
Essayez à nouveau plus tard."

Probably you have a firewall extension getting in the way. See if disabling that makes a difference.

Or your server is blocking the IP address of download.regularlabs.com.
Ask your host to look into this.
If they say there is no block, ask them to provide a traceroute from your server to mine.

Hello,
I finally got a reply from the OVH support:
After checking the configuration and logs of your hosting, I can't find any blocking at our level.
I invite you to check with the editor of the application please. It is indeed possible that he has blacklisted the exit gateway of your hosting: 141.94.87.67.
I am sorry, it will not be possible to provide you with a traceroute.

Would it be possible that you block that IP address?
Kind regards
yves

I am sorry, it will not be possible to provide you with a traceroute.
Why not? A host should be able to provide that.
Without it, it is pretty impossible to see where the issue lies.

The only IPs being blocked by my side (my host) are IPs that appear on blacklists because of spamming and such.
Which could be the case. But the first step is to provide a traceroute.

I agree with you about the traceroute.
In any case, even if I cannot get an answer from OVH, I already planned to change provider for the web server (I always have issues and slowness with OVH, it is nearly impossible to get an answer and very often it is a useless answer by them).
