In the J3 version, it was possible to type in a word and the list would be filtered by articles containing that word.
In the J4 free version (11.1.10) the only option appears to be to scroll down a list of articles in alphabetical order. That's ok if you only have a few articles, but if there are 1000s and the article is, for example, called 'Zebras', that's a bit of a pain.
Maybe this is a deliberate change of filtering method. Can you let me know? Thanks.
Can you give me (super) admin access so I can take a look?
You can use the 'Confidential information' button in the forum editor to hide sensitive information.
On revisiting this issue I find that the search method has changed:
Rather than typing a word into a field and then clicking the search icon to search for that word in an article title, alias or note, hitting the 'S' key, for instance, goes straight to the first article beginning with the letter 'S'.
But hitting an additional key - e.g. 'a' does not take you to an article beginning "Sa" but back to articles beginning 'A'.
This is what had thrown me.
The extra wide bar is due to very long article names (not created by me!).
Ok. I usually work in Firefox so I tried it in Chrome. Same thing.
If I type quickly, e.g. "Art" it will go to articles starting "Art" but if I pause between "Ar" and "t" it will first go to articles starting "Ar" and then articles starting "t". But definitely not into a field that I can type into.
