Cannot find Regular Labs system plugin

Hank De Leo's Avatar Hank De Leo
After the Joomla 4.29 update, I also received this error message: "Modules Anywhere cannot function. Regular Labs Library plugin is not installed."

I re-installed the latest free version of Regular Labs Cache Cleaner, and that resolved the issue. Joomla confirmed:
Cache Cleaner v8.3.3 has been successfully reinstalled
The Regular Labs Library v23.4.9077 has been successfully reinstalled
I did not try any of the suggestions in this thread. I hope this helps.

Thank you, Peter, for your wonderful software!

Hi Peter,

I have deleted the libraries (multiple times) and tried to reinstall Modules Anywhere, I get a 'Cant install a Free version over a Pro version'. I've tried the other approaches offered here by Greg and David but I'm still stuck. I have been updating several sites but this one just does not go through. this is my third weekend trying to complete the migration and my clients are getting worried.

Please help!

All extensions seem up-to-date on that site. I see not messages or errors. What is the issue?

Thank you for checking my site Peter, I conclude the issue must be some caching somewhere. Even though I try to be vigilant about that I think it tripped me up.

Many thanks again

Peter

Hi Peter,
I just updated from 3.10. to 4.3.4 and all plugins were deactivated.
I deleted the cache and the folders as mentioned, and tried to reinstall.

Unfortunately the library plugin does not install wether which plugin I try to install.

Please advise,
Thanks
Peer

Try deleting these folders:
/plugins/system/regularlabs
/libraries/regularlabs
(You will get other errors now).

Then reinstall the latest version of the extensionS you hve installed.

Good Morning Peter,

that’s what I did last night.
Each plugin I’m newly installing is missing the “Regular Labs Library Plugin”
Can’t install the very latest since php8.1 ist not installed on the server. So I installed latest -1.

Just checked again for these folders, they are still missing after installation of all the above listed.

See if the Regular Labs Library is in the list of installed extensions. And uninstall it.

just tried and do receive message as follows.

The PLG_SYSTEM_REGULARLABS extension is part of a package that does not allow individual extensions to be uninstalled.

Can you give me (super) admin access so I can take a look?

- I logged in
- Went to System > Manage > Extensions
- Searched for "Regular Labs Library"
- Selected the "Regular Labs Library" package and uninstalled it
- Went to System > Install Extensions
- Installed Articles Anywhere v14.1.1PRO (seeing you are running on PHP 8.0)

And everything is working.

Yes indeed and that is exactly what I did. I just can't understand why this didn't work for me.
However, many thanks!
