Article fields for Joomla! 4 tests

Simon Delmotte's Avatar Simon Delmotte
Hello,

I am testing the transition to Joomla! 4 of a site for which I use Article Fields.

I noticed that in the new version for Joomla! 4, multiple articles cannot be selected via checkboxes.

I tested several configurations in the field but without success.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

With this new version, I'm getting a lot of "Warning: Attempt to assign property 'level' of non-object in …\plugins\fields\articles\src\Form\Field\ArticlesField.php"

I can see checkboxes but without any labels.

Hmmmm, I can't reproduce that here...
Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?

Peter,

I'm working on a local webserver.

But I've made an Akeeba copy of the site.

Sorry, but I can't help you that way.

If you can reproduce this on an online environment to which I can get access, I am happy to look into this.

Does Articles Linked work with subform fields?
Peter van Westen's Avatar Peter van Westen ADMIN
It should in the latest dev version. Did you try?

Yes. I downloaded the most recent before I posted. Now I linked the article field within the subform
And not the subform itself

So the article field that is in the subform does not show up in the list linked fields. How do I change that?

Peter, you are absolutely amazing! That fixed the issue of them not being an option. But I still can't get the articles listed. I know this has got to be my error. The Artcles Linked field is selected to "Show" But nothing is displaying.

In case you want to take a look. I am using EasyLayouts beta and have added the field to the layout.

Can you reproduce this issue using normal articles and the core Joomla template?
So not having EasyLayouts (or any other 3rd party extensions) in the mix?

So I unpublished EasyLayouts layout, switched it to Cassiopeia, set the articles linked field to display below and nothing shows up.

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?
And tell me on what url I can see/reproduce the issue.
