The Articles Field shows up like any other custom field.
Do you know how to make other Joomla core fields show up in your articles?

I am not sure what you want to know.
All the filters are available in the custom field when you create it.
Including filters for custom field values.

This will determine the articles shown in the select field that will be available in the article edit view.

I am not sure what you want as an end result, and how you plan to use Articles Field.
I don't understand how you want to use this as a tag for just the admin side.
I think Articles Field is not what you want or expect it to be.

1) Go to Content > Fields
2) Create new field
3) Select Type: "Articles (articles)"
4) Scroll down to see all the settings

The Type "Articles - Linked (articleslinked)" has a different function which you can read about here:
