Group on category

Didier's Avatar Didier
Is there a way to group articles by category? For example, for a main category, the name of the first subcategory followed by all articles in that subcategory etc.
Thanks
Didier.

You can order by category title, then article title.
Then use if statements to check if the current category is the same as the previous. If not, output the category title.
See:

OK, nice idea Peter, I'll try this. I use if statements a lot, very powerful, like all your extensions. Thanks, keep it up!
Didier.

Grouping by category works perfectly now.
I can also sort categories "manually" by using the category note field (category-note). So everything works.
Small note: sorting by e.g. category-author gives an error, showing category-author does work.
Thanks a lot!
Didier.

The author of a category is buried in the metadata field in the database. There is currently no way in Articles Anywhere to order by nested category data.
