Want to hide date

Jacqueline Blanch's Avatar Jacqueline Blanch
Hi Peter

I have some articles I am showing the publish up date on fine in Joomla 3.9

I have used the syntax publish_up format="D, j F Y" and it is returning Thursday, 23 April 2020 09:00

All good, except I don't want the time to show. How can I get rid of it please

Thanks

Jacqui

I cannot reproduce the issue you are facing.
[publish_up format="D, j F Y"] => Thursday, 23 April 2020
[publish_up format="D, j F"] => Thursday, 23 April

Does changing the format influence the output at all?
Do you have this online so I can take a look?

You are using an extremely old version of Articles Anywhere. As in: 4 years old!
To put it more into perspective, there have been 57 releases of Articles Anywhere after the version you are using.

Like the big red warning in this forum says:
Before asking for support, make sure: The Regular Labs extension(s) you are using are updated to the latest version

Sorry Peter

I thought I had upgraded that one this week

I have upgraded it now and I am still experiencing the same issue

We cannot upgrade to Joomla 10 at this stage, is there a fix or workaround for this

Thanks

Nobody can upgrade to Joomla 10.

Can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?
And tell me on what url I can see/reproduce the issue.

HI Peter

Sorry it took so long to get back to you but its been a crazy time and then I have been sick this week

We will be upgrading to 3.10 but I need to finalise some development and then remove some extensions that are not coming to Joomla 4 with us

It would be great if we could work out why the time is showing and get it removed

Thanks

HI Peter

Sorry forgot a URL

benefolk.org/about/news?view=article&id=...nefolk&catid=91:news

This shows the date and time we want removed

Thanks

Jacqui

It is caused by html tags inside the data tag.
If you look at the HTML view, you'll see:
{{article}}{{publish_up <span class="important">format="D, j F Y"</span>}}{{/article}}
Remove that span.
