I am displaying e custom field group but need to exclude certain fields; one in this particular case. I prefer not to put that one field in a separate group, although that could be a last resort. Can you think of another way to achieve this?

OR: put the field in a separate field group and create a custom article edit layout that includes the field with the other fields.
