We have a Custom Options Field "media-typ" with options "video", "text", "potcast" and we want to filter items of one type.unfortunately does not return any result. Is filtering by specific content possible in custom options fields?

Yes, you should be able to filter by the value of custom fields.
If you can't get it to work, can you give me (super) admin and (s)ftp access so I can take a look?
And tell me on what url I can see/reproduce the issue.
You can use the 'Confidential information' button in the forum editor to hide sensitive information.
