articles from child categories, ordering: "hits", published latest 30 days

We need a list of 12 most read articles from a category and child categories, filtered.

The output from

{articles category="33" include_child_categories="true" publish_up="date('-30 days') to now()" odering="hits DESC" limit="12" }

seems to be incorrect, the sort order seems not respectet.

Can you see if the order is respected if you just use 1 category?
So not using the include_child_categories?
