We updated the Joomla website to Joomla 5 from Joomla 4.
using the latest version of Advance module manager Pro version since J4.
On J4 its working fine. on Joomla 5 Also on child items: No still i see the module is showing on the child items.
Parent item is category blog and child items are articles.
On J4 i have no issue, tried to resave the setting but no successs.

I guess you are talking about the menu item condition rule?
Are the articles also menu items?
The "Also on child items" refers to actual child items of the selected item in the select list.
So any child items you see there.

Hi Peter correct its for selected menu item.
No the articles are not a menu item. its working on J4, stoppped on J5 for many modules with same condition.
I tried publish it only for child that work. Issue only if i set Show on child > NO.
It still display.

If it worked on your Joomla 4 setup, it was for another reason. As the "Also on child items" does not do what you describe it to be.
I recommend you use the Joomla content condition rule instead, so not the menu item condition.
Then you can assign it to the categories you want, and disable it on article views.
Or use a combination of the menu item and Joomla content type rules.
