Error when trying to create new modules after upgrading to Joomla 4 and 5

Michael Hermary's Avatar Michael Hermary
Hello,

I have upgraded my client's website from the latest version of Joomla 3 to 4, then 5 today.

All of the Regular Labs extensions were up to date prior to the upgrade.

I disabled all of them prior to completing the upgrades, then enabled them afterwards.

They were all updated to Joomla 4 and 5 supported versions after the upgrade.

Now when I try to create a new module of any type, the following error is displayed in the administrator panel:
RegularLabs\Library\Input::getInt(): Argument #2 ($default) must be of type int, null given, called in /var/www/domain.ca/administrator/components/com_advancedmodules/src/Model/ModuleModel.php on line 949
I have tried re-installing the AMM component once, but this did not help.

Any idea on why this is occurring? I had completed the same process on a staging version of the website with no issues.

Cheers,

I got the same error on joomla 4 but the only update I did is AMM. Everything was updated to the last version before.

I rolled back to 10.0.7 and I can create new modules.

Thanks!

@Michel Did you roll back by installing AMM 10.0.7 or by restoring from a full backup?

I did first and it worked, I mean AMM 10.0.7..

I found regularlabs.com/development-releases and installed 10.0.9-dev.

If you install the dev version, you will have to update the official version manually after I guess.

Tks!

So are you still getting this with the latest dev version?

Yes and IT seems to work as IT should. No error message in php logs.

Hello Peter,

I have upgraded to 10.0.9 and the issue looks to be resolved.

Thanks for your prompt attention to this issue.
