I tried Components Anywhere and posted about that question in the forum also. Then I read about Advanced Module Manager and trying to understand if this could be a solution for me? The component I want to place is JoomTestimonials.

Advanced Module Manager controls modules. It has nothing to do with components.

No, it does not.
It controls the display of modules (whether it should or shouldn't show) based on - among other conditions - what compliment is shown.
