On multilingual sites, the language-selector is missing when creating and editing modules in Joomla 4.

No, it is not missing. It is moved to the Conditions.
The language and publishing dates are conditions.

I see. I was confused because the language-selection was not visible in the conditions after installing AMM. It does not add the language-condition when a language was selected in the module.
Version 9.0.6. is a fix of something else?

The language selection was not showing in the Free version. That should be fixed with the latest release.
