icons not showing when css is added to CDN

Gabriel Nwoffiah's Avatar Gabriel Nwoffiah
My joomla is up to date. Running version 3.9.10

When I add css to the file types, social media icons in my login module stops showing. I have tried to ignore the css files in the login module but it does not work. I have to remove css entirely from being served by the CDN.

This is how it is supposed to show.

This is how it is showing when I add css to Cloudfront.

Here are the files I added to ignore (that does not work):
theme.css.php, theme.js, theme.svg

I have tried adding them with the full direct path, still doesn't work.
I am using AWS Cloudfront. The enter site is on AWS.

Please explain what I am doing wrong.

Note: you can view this behaviour here: www.africasted.com I currently have the css removed so the icons are showing at the moment.
Thanks.

You do not have the svg file on the CDN server. So either make sure it is on your server, or make sure the CSS referencing that svg file is NOT served from the CDN.

The file is not missing. It is present on the server and on the CDN.

The is a CORS policy issue. Please read up on it and fix your otherwise perfect component. This is a well known problem from a few minutes of googling.

If you have any other workaround in the meantime, please let me know.

Thanks.

The "No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header" thing is something you should ask your CDN provider (Cloudfront) about.
CDN for Joomla! does not control that.
